Dr. Abhinav Mathur
Abhinav Mathur is the Founder and Chairman of Million Sparks Foundation (MSF).
He worked for twenty-four years in leadership roles in large Multi National Corporations. He ran cutting edge innovative global businesses in areas such as Mobility, Telecommunications, Financial Technology, Entertainment, Health Care and Education. He has co-founded Million Sparks Foundation in 2015 to give back to society by contributing to the Education Space. Abhinav is a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, and Bachelors in Engineering from NSIT Delhi.
Abhinav has setup several startups as a part of one of the world’s first technology incubators. He serves on the board of several high growth companies, advises startups for growth, and is an avid angel investor.
Dr. Mona Mathur
Mona Mathur is the Founder and CEO of Million Sparks Foundation (MSF).
Mona is extremely passionate educationist and has been teaching for the past 29 years at both the K12 and Engineering Levels. She continues to be an adjunct faculty at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. While working with STMicroelectronics in their Advanced Systems Technology Group, she led their industry academia partnership initiative to setup a joint research lab at IIT Delhi. Mona is a PhD in the area of Neuro Computing and Machine Learning, Masters in Technology from IIT Delhi, and Bachelors in Engineering from NSIT Delhi.
Mona has advised and contributed to several startups and non-profit organization in the area of Education.
‘JS’ (as Jeetendra is fondly called) has deep and extensive knowledge of developing and scaling mission critical products and services. He is contributing his time and energy to improve the architecture of the platforms being built by the Million Sparks Foundation. He is passionate about the User Experience and keeps a keen eye on the ChalkLit users feedbacks
JS had been initially focused in domains such as VAS, Telecom and Lawful Interception of Networks. For the last few years, he has been actively involved in the mobile apps and e-commerce space. Apart from co-founding a startup, he is also an independent technology consultant helping a few startups realize their product vision through technology.
An avid sportsman and a spontaneous traveller, he loves pushing boundaries ‘in the field’ or ‘on the road’
He is a computer engineering graduate from PEC University of Technology.
Akansha works as a content specialist in Mathematics( primary) at Million Sparks Foundation. She has received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Institute of Home Economics, Delhi University. She is Masters in Education from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad.
Prior completing masters, she was working as mother teacher for primary class in DPS, Rajnagar, Ghaziabad.
She personally views Education as an exposure to the chain of experiences that create inquiry and critical thinking. In her free time she likes to do draw, read and catch up on as much sleep as she can.
As a relationship manager, Anchra works on increasing training coverage across cities at Million Sparks Foundation. As a member of the outreach team, she is also responsible for improving training efficacy, execution and all-round user experience.
A former fellow at the Teach for India, Anchra has extensive experience in student and teacher capacity building and has, in the past, worked with the Delhi government to improve the quality of teaching in government schools.
In her free time, Anchra enjoys sports. She is a corporate level football and squash player, and has also successfully organized and coached girls sporting teams at a government school.
Ankit Oli works as the Social Media Associate at Million Sparks Foundation. He is looking after all the content translations, curation or sees user engagement by creating wall post for them. He has completed his BTech in Civil Engineering from Graphic Era Hill University, Bhimtal. He also possesses knowledge of AutoCAD and some basic of site knowledge too.
He loves dancing, traveling, playing cricket, listening to music and to play snooker in his spare time. According to Ankit, Education is the most powerful weapon to raise the thinking level and personality development of all the people.
Ankit Yadav is a content associate at Million Sparks Foundation. He has done his B.Ed from State Council Of Educational Research And Training, Delhi and did his graduation in B.Sc Mathematics from the University of Delhi. He has worked as an intern in various government schools, which not only gave him experience for life but also served as an eye opener towards the condition and needs of refinement in the education system.
He is a firm believer of giving equal opportunities to each learner so that no one feels left out in a classroom. He believes in a student-centric approach of teaching and tries to develop activities and ideas which will enhance the experience of learning as well as teaching. In his leisure time, he loves to watch or play cricket and likes to explore new places.
Anshika works as a Social Science content specialist at Million Sparks Foundation. She has 4 years of work experience in the field of Education, wherein she has been involved in content development, teacher training and assessment. Prior to MSF, she has worked with XSEED Education and Pratham Education Foundation. Also, since the time she was pursuing her undergraduate studies, she has been involved with many non-profit organisations (such as Salaam Baalak,Goonj etc.) as a volunteer.
She holds Master of Arts in Education degree with a specialization in curriculum and pedagogy from Azim Premji University, Bangalore and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Sociology from Delhi University.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and has always been an avid reader. Some of her favourites are Forbidden Lessons in a Kabul Guesthouse, Magic Strings Of Frankie Presto, and Lowland.
Deepak is heading the Monitoring and Evaluation vertical and the Training team at MSF. After his B-tech from GB Pant University, Deepak joined Tata Motors where he analyzed and improved processes to finalize pricing with the Vendors. He stepped in the education sector as a Teach for India Fellow, teaching students in an MCD school for two years. Meanwhile, he also founded an initiative called Teenage Footprints, where he ran character building workshops in Delhi private schools. Over the past several years, he has worked on student leadership, organized leadership conferences for educators and government officials, and personally coached more than 500 teachers. Prior to MSF, he was at Cuemath, where he headed their training for Bangalore and Hyderabad and designed their training framework for more than 20K teachers.
Devika manages the Outreach efforts of Million Sparks Foundation for the state of Goa. She brings 11+ years of professional experience in the field of social work, education and mental health and holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial & Advanced Counselling Psychology.
She has worked as a Psychologist, Counsellor, Project Coordinator, Trainer conducting counselling programs, awareness sessions, soft skills workshops, teacher training programs, research projects, outreach programs for schools, educational institutions, corporates & NGO’s like The Akanksha Foundation, Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, Lupin Foundation, and UNICEF in Mumbai & Goa.
She is passionate about social work and dedicates her free time in counselling and welfare initiatives for the community in need through Mangaldas Social Welfare Foundation founded by her. She loves reading, listening to music, poetry, singing and also does psychic reading and healing practices.
Divya combines art and technology to create and maintain the visual brand at Million Sparks Foundation. She is the graphic designer and on-demand design support for content, outreach and marketing teams at the organization. She has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications and is a certified graphic and web designer. She has 5+ years of experience in designing advertisements, catalogues, newsletters, presentations, 2-D motion ads, corporate communications and corporate identity. Her work received national recognition in multimedia category at 24 FPS, an annual competition organized by MAAC.
Gaurav Shukla has joined as VP Operations in MSF Team. Gaurav has 14 years of work experience in Operations and Supply Chain Management with Indian Air Force and IT/ BPO industry.
He joined Indian Air Force in 2003 as an Engineering Officer and has undertaken diverse assignments at bases spread all across the country.
He did his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow post his stint with the IAF.
Gaurav likes reading & travelling and he has explored almost all the states in India.
Himanshu Sharma works as Hindi Translator at Million Sparks Foundation. He is a Hindi graduate of University of Delhi. He holds NCC C certificate under Army wing. He received a Diploma in Elementary Education from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. During his studies in Jamia, he has worked as an intern in various Govt school in Delhi. He was previously working as a Hindi trainer for foreign nationals. He has knowledge of Urdu, Sanskrit and French as well.
He is a passionate follower of Indian culture and a constant learner about the same. He enjoys sketching and reading religious books and Hindi literature.
Mandeep works as a Training Associate and handles online teacher training. She has done her B.Tech in ECE from ABES Engineering College. She has joined Million Sparks Foundation after 6 months of working with Tech Mahindra. In her free time, she loves to read and grooving to the music.
Namrata is heading the Human Resource and also handling administration, accounts, purchase and inventory at Million Sparks Foundation.
She is a triple masters, Masters in English literature, Masters in History, Masters in Business Administration and also LLB. She has studied Human Psychology, Industrial Psychology, and Child Psychology during her graduation that gave her the insight to understand and analyse human behaviour.
With 8 years of work experience in hiring for the positions like VP, CFO, CTO, AVP, Managers for India and for overseas. She has also worked as Training Head (internal and external trainings).
She has participated in several National Social Service & NCC Camps. She enjoys interacting with different people and diligently offers a helping hand to the people in need.
Pankaj leads the technical development and server management efforts at MSF and in a nut shell is the hardcore technical guy.
He has an experience with various technologies and feels very strongly about the work he puts in. He has vast amount of experience in the Internet and Telecom domain, and has worked on open sourced SIP Stacks, Rating, Billing and Mediation, Customer On boarding & Management. His exposure to multiple technologies includes various client side technologies, server side technologies, database management systems, operating systems.
Pankaj has worked for organizations like Ascent Telecom & Spice Labs. At Spice Labs he was exposed to Mobile handset application development.Pankaj is an MCA from MJP Rohilkhand University and has 13 years of experience
Parul Jauhari comes from a science background with a post-graduate degree in Biotechnology. Her journey in the education/development sector started as a Teach For India fellow, followed by being the Content Lead at Meraki. Both the roles demanded an in-depth understanding of pedagogy and user-centric instructional designing. To delve deeper into the aspect of user-centricity and contextualization, she is now pursuing a course in Psychology. As Product Lead- Wall at Million Sparks Foundation, she utilizes all this knowledge and experience in creating products tailored to consumers' psychology and technical needs.
Prahlad Chakma heads the Program Management at Million Sparks Foundation. He has gained considerable work experience in Education by working with Teach For India in Delhi and Pearson Education in Bangalore. While he was in Teach For India he founded Teenage Footprints which works on the Character Development of Teenage students through fun-filled retreats. In Bangalore he has helped Maitreya Charitable Trust, a Taiwan based NGO to set up their processes and to create livelihood unit for the organisation.
Prior to his joining at MSF, he was the Editor cum Director at the Eastern Today, an English Daily newspaper which circulates in three states of Northeast India. He is passionate working for the uplifting of Northeast India.
Outside works, he loves a good game of cricket and works for his community development in varied capacities.
Prakash’s immense love for Maths brings out the best in his role as Mathematics Content Specialist at Million Sparks Foundation. Prakash is an Engineer and has done masters in Development Studies from Tata Institute Social Sciences. His data analysis skills has contributed to various projects such as Multidimensional Child Poverty Index for India, Dynamic Linkages between Capital Flows, Exchange Rates and Economics Growth in India, Financial Autonomy of Women in Indian Households etc.
Working in Breakthrough Science Society was turning point for Prakash when he realized the lack of resources and competent teaching capacity in the schools.
He looks at education as the only means to come out of the poverty trap. And Prakash is highly guided by the belief that “every student deserves to be taught by a great teacher”.
Pritpal Singh Sandhu
Pritpal working as Software engineer in Million Sparks Foundation. Before joining MSF, he had worked for TCS for a life science and health care project. He had done bachelors in CSE from G.N.D.University in Amritsar.
His hobbies are watching movies, listening music and playing games.
Rahul is working as iOS Developer in Million Sparks Foundation and passionate about creating new iPhone and iPad Apps. Before joining MSF, he had worked for Appsquadz Technologies. He had done bachelors in CSE from Greater Noida institute of technologies from Greater Noida. In his free time he loves to play cricket and virtual games.
Rohit Kumar is from Patna (Bihar). He is Bachelor of Engineering and have been working in IT as a Software Tester from more than 4 years. He loves to spend quality time with close friends and family. He lilkes visiting new places and soaking in the place's culture and enjoining local cuisines. He loves riding motorcycles which is his preferable mode of transport for hitting tourist spots.He is straight-forward, truthful, honest and spontaneous. Rutambhara Panda belongs to temple city Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She leads government relationship with Odisha for Million Sparks Foundation.
She has done Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Utkal University, Odisha. She has worked with different National and International level organizations such as PHFI, George Institute, and Centurion University. Her work mainly centered around Action Research methodology and project lifecycle management.
She loves traveling and interacting with people from different communities, and is passionate about Classical Odishi Dance.

Saumya manages strategic alliances and partnerships for Million Sparks Foundation She brings 4+ years of work experience in the field of educational leadership, project management and edtech adoption. Before joining MSF, she has worked with Quality Council of India, Education practice at Google India and Teach For India. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Relations and Economics from Hans Raj College, University of Delhi and an MBA from IIM Kozhikode with majors in HR & Marketing. In her free time, she loves reading fiction, non fiction and poetry, watching stand up comedies, and meditation.
Shalmali holds a Master's degree in Opto-electronic and laser technology, after working as a project assistant in a DAE's center for 1 year she decided to switch her path to follow her passion. She is handling dual responsibilities for Chhattisgarh, working as a Relationship manager to get aligned with stakeholder's of the state to understand their requirements, also works as Training Lead and ensures to execute and achieve better engagement of teachers throughout the state efficiently, Meanwhile, she also handles state channel.
She has been volunteering with Teach For Raipur past 1 year and actively works on various social issues, Presented her projects in various national and international platforms. Apart from this she has an extreme love for artistic works and loves to travel and explore historical places.
Shloka Thakur is a Content Specialist-Science with Million Sparks Foundation. In her professional journey, she has started with TERI as a researcher in the field of Nanotechnology and Proteomics and then with Teach for India as a fellow where she has taught majorly science across grades 6-10 in Sangam Vihar, Delhi.
Shloka is an avid book reader (non fiction), an enthusiastic traveller and lover of mountains.
Shubham Chauhan is an engineer who is passionate about creating new apps. He is a firm believer in power of firm technology and it's pivotal role in making life eaiser. In his spare time he loves playing lawn tennis.
Somya works as a Content Specialist at Million Sparks Foundation. After completing her post graduation in Biochemistry from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, she has worked for 3 years as an Associate Resource Person at Azim Premji Foundation in Uttarakhand working in the area of English and Science teaching. Also worked as a Program Associate at Room to Read for 2 months.

Srishti works as a Relationship Manager and handles the relationship with the partner organization for online teacher training. She has done her (PGP-DL) Post-Graduate Programme in Development Leadership from Indian School of Development Management (ISDM) and MBA in Rural Development from the University of Allahabad. She has worked as an Assistant Manager at Satin Creditcare Network Ltd - a Micro-Finance organization and was responsible for coordinating the operations and performing Report analysis for 48 branches across Gujarat & Madhya Pradesh.

Venkatesh Prashar works as a software test engineer at Million Sparks Foundation. He completed his Bachelors in Electronics and communication engineering from the Reva Institute of Technology and Management, Bangalore.
Before joining MSF he had a stint with Tech narayana software and Code inks software pvt Ltd., Bangalore , where he was involved in application testing automation testing and functional testing of softwares to be launched by the company.

Ridhima Bhatia is a Content Associate for Science. She belongs to Safidon, Jind Haryana. She has done her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences and Masters in Biotechnology. She worked as a Subject Matter Expert Biology in SD Solutions for a year. She has also worked for US and UK projects of Biology such as Course Hero, Chegg, Nursing, Biochem books and National Projects such as Toppr Community.

Ashish Dhawan is the Founder and Chairman of Central Square Foundation (CSF). He worked for twenty years in the investment management business and ran one of India’s leading private equity funds, ChrysCapital. In June 2012, he left his full time role at ChrysCapital to start CSF. Ashish is an MBA with distinction from Harvard University and a dual bachelor’s (BS/BA) holder with Magna Cum Laude honours from Yale University. He is on the India Advisory Board of Harvard and a member of Yale’s Development Council.
Ashish serves on the board of several non-profits including Akanksha Foundation, 3.2.1 Education Foundation, Teach For India, Centre for Civil Society, Janaagraha, India School Leadership Institute and Bharti Foundation.
Vijay Shekhar Sharma
Founder, Paytm & One97
Vijay is the founder & CEO of One97 and Paytm - one of India’s largest growing mobile Internet & mobile commerce company. He also invests in early stage mobile Internet startups from his company’s One97 Mobility Fund. An avid admirer of great design, Vijay believes his ultimate moment is yet to arrive. He says, and that too with a straight face, if not in his current job, he would have been singing along with Bono.
Dr. Santanu Chaudhury
Dean, UGS, I.I.T, Delhi
Dr. Santanu Chaudhury currently the Schlumberger Chair Professor at the Department of Electrical Engneering along with being the Dean, UGS at I.I.T Delhi. He is also a Professor at Electrical Engneering Department, I.I.T, Delhi, President, Board of Students Publications & Coordinator, Thrust Area on Real time Embedded Systems.
He recieved his Ph.D in Computer Science Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. He was a fellow at the Indian National Academy of Engineers, National Academy of Sciences and have been a recipient of the prestigious INSA Medal for Young Scientists in 1993.
His contribution in the curriculum development has been in designing the complete curriculum and development of course material for a certificate course on “Embedded Systems and Applications” for working professionals. The course is being run (5 times) successfully under the aegis of FITT, I.I.T, Delhi. He has also been instrumental in developing a video lecture series on “Embedded Systems” with support from ETSC under NPTEL program.
Adviser, Sangat, JAGORI
A social scientist by training, Kamla Bhasin has been actively engaged with issues related to development, gender, education, media and others since 1970. Currently, she works with Sangat – A Feminist Network as Adviser as well as JAGORI, A Women’s Resource and Training Centre and Jagori Rural Charitable Trust as an active member. She is the South Asia Coordinator of One Billion Rising, a global campaign to end violence against women and girls; Co-Chair of the worldwide network Peace Women Across the Globe; and member of South Asians for Human Rights (SAHR). Prior to this, she worked with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for 27 years.
Kamla Bhasin is deeply engaged with issues related to gender, development, peace, identity politics, militarization, human rights and democracy and seeks to explore and articulate connections between these issues and to promote synergies between different movements. Her main work is at the South Asian level, and has included capacity building of South Asian and other young activists and networking amongst civil society organizations in South Asia. She has also been conducting gender sensitization workshops for senior non-governmental organization leaders and managers, government officials, police personnel, and members of Parliament in various countries in South Asia.
Kamla Bhasin has written extensively on gender, women’s empowerment, participatory and sustainable development, participatory training, media and communication. Most of her books are written for activists and development workers. She has also written a large number of songs and slogans for the women's movement, books for children, and has created many posters and banners for various people’s movements. She is committed to the creation of a peaceful, democratic and pluralist South Asia.
Dr. Anubha Gupta
Associate Professor and UG

Dr. Anubha Gupta is working as Associate Professor and UG Program Chair at IIIT-Delhi. She received her B.Tech and M.Tech from Delhi University, India in 1991 and 1997 in Electronics and Communication Engineering. She received her PhD. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, India in 2006 in Electrical Engineering. She did her second Master’s as a full time student from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA from 2008-2010 in Education with concentration: Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies. She worked as Assistant Director with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India (through Indian Engineering Services) from 1993 to 1999 and, as faculty at NSIT-Delhi (2000-2008) and IIIT-Hyderabad (2011-2013), India. She worked as the Director of Assessment in the office of the Provost at Bowie State University, Maryland, USA during 2009-11. She has published 50+ papers research papers in international and national journals of repute and continues to guide several PhD and MTech students.
Dr. Gupta is a senior member of IEEE Signal processing Society and a member of IEEE Women in Engineering Society. She is Associate Editor of IEEE Access journal. She is an expert member of ECE for National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India responsible for the accreditation of UG and PG programs of Engineering in India.
Mr. ASHOK K PANDEY

Mr. Ashok Pandey is working in the School sector for the past three decades. He did Masters in Physics from Allahabad University and Consultancy Management from BITS, Pilani. The Ahlcon International School is ranked among the best Schools in the country. He served as Chairman, National Progressive Schools’ Conference (NPSC) (2015-17). Author of several articles, projects and research papers. His first book the Pedagogical Life-Essays in Educating India, was published last year. He also edited: A design framework for future schools (A Teacher’s Perspective, a collection of essays by school teachers).

Mr. Vinod Sood

Vinod Sood is currently Managing Director at Hughes Systique Corporation (HSC); an Engineering R&D services & solutions company. Prior to his current role, he was Head of Global Engineering and R&D at Hughes Software Systems (HSS) and served on its Board as well. Before HSS, Vinod worked with C-DOT where he was part of the core team which designed India 1st Digital Switch. Vinod is a veteran of hi-tech software industry, during his career span of 35 years he has built high performance teams at premier R&D organizations in India. Vinod has an exceptional track record of building profitable and sustainable institutions from conceptualization to maturity.
He is member of NASSCOM Engineering R&D council and Chair of the Northern Regional Council. He is on the steering committees of the Gurgaon Startup Warehouse setup by NASSCOM and Government of Haryana and Center for Excellence in IoT (CoE-IoT) setup by MeitY, Government of Haryana and NASSCOM. He is on the Global Advisory Board of Shoolini University Solan, K.R. Mangalam University Gurgaon and on the Advisory Committee of the Institute of Informatics and Communications, University of Delhi. Vinod is involved in guiding and mentoring young entrepreneurs and startups and is on the Advisory Boards of some of these startups most notably OYO rooms. He is a TiE Charter member and is part of several CII, NASSCOM and TiE juries to identify emerging startups and innovative product companies.
Vinod is an alumnus of PEC Chandigarh from where he graduated with a Gold Medal.

Jeroo Billimoria is a Skoll awardee, an Ashoka and Schwab Fellow and is considered to be among the world’s leading changemakers. She is the founder of several innovative and award winning NGOs, including including Child Helpline International, Aflatoun International, and Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI).
CYFI has pioneered a collaborative systems change approach creating meaningful change in financial inclusion and Economic Citizenship Education for young people worldwide, while Aflatoun International has succeeded in working with global partners to provide social and financial education to over 1 million children in 100 countries. Childline India and ChildHelpline International have facilitated a global movement for protection of children and youth and are active in more than 181 countries – having responded to over 160 million calls.
Jeroo has spent her life ensuring that children build the self-confidence, skills and knowledge to help them face adversity and break the inter-generational cycle of poverty. Using her unique ability to employ low-cost business models to change entire global policies and structures, she has been able to touch the lives of over 200 million children in 150 countries.
